Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from Musa ibn Ubaydah, who said: Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith informed me, from Yuhannis Abu Musa, from Rashid ibn Sa’d, the brother of Umm al-Darda’, from Abu al-Darda’, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever recites one hundred verses in a night will not be recorded among the heedless. Whoever recites two hundred verses will be recorded among the devout (al-qanitin). And whoever recites five hundred verses to one thousand verses, there will be for him in the morning a qintar of reward, and the qirat is like a great mountain."
