'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Shaqiq, from al-A'mash, from Abu Razin, who said: A man said to Lihya ibn Salama—and he was one of the companions of 'Abdullah—"I have read the entire Qur'an." He said, "And what have you grasped from it?"
