'Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, who said: "I truly know what was revealed of the Qur'an in Makkah and what was revealed in Madinah. As for what was revealed in Makkah, it is the setting of parables and the mention of the generations. As for what was revealed in Madinah, it is the obligatory duties, the legal punishments, and the struggle (Jihad)."
