Yunus ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from al-Azraq ibn Qays, from Sharik ibn Shihab al-Harithi, from Abu Barzah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "A people will emerge from the east who recite the Qur'an, but it will not pass beyond their collarbones. They will pass through the religion just as an arrow passes through the game, and they will not return to it."
