Muttalib ibn Ziyad narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Aslam, who said: I said to Abu Ja’far, "Indeed, Ibn Mas’ud erased the *Mu’awwidhatayn* (the two chapters of seeking refuge) from his codex." He said, "Recite them both."
