'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: 'Imran ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Talhah informed us that a man recited in the Mosque of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, during Ramadan and he sang [in his recitation]. Al-Qasim disapproved of that and said: Allah the Exalted says: "And indeed, it is a mighty Book. Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a Wise and Praiseworthy [Lord]."
