Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 22:86

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Abd al-Karim ibn Abi Umayyah, from Talq ibn Habib, who said: Whoever learns the Qur’an then forgets it without an excuse, a degree shall be lowered from him for every verse, and he shall come on the Day of Resurrection defeated.
