Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Abd al-Hamid ibn Ja'far, from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id, from Abu Shurayh al-Khuza'i, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) came out to us and said: "Rejoice, rejoice! Do you not bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah?" They said: "Yes." He said: "For indeed, this Quran is a rope; one end of it is in the Hand of Allah, and the other end is in your hands. So hold fast to it, for you will never go astray and you will never perish after it, ever."
