Hadith 27:102
Ahmad ibn Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Zuhayr narrated to us, he said: Abu Khalid Yazid al-Asadi narrated to us, he said: Awn ibn Abi Juhayfah al-Suwa'i narrated to me, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Alqamah, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Aqil, who said: We set out in a delegation and came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. One of us said: "O Messenger of Allah, will you not ask your Lord for a kingdom like the kingdom of Solomon?" He laughed and said: "Perhaps your companion has with Allah something better than the kingdom of Solomon. Indeed, Allah did not send a prophet without granting him a supplication. Some of them used it for their worldly life and were granted it, and some of them prayed with it against their people when they disobeyed them, so they were destroyed. And indeed, Allah granted me a supplication, so I have stored it with my Lord as an intercession for my nation on the Day of Resurrection."
