Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 27:107

Waki’ narrated to us, from Dawud al-Azdi, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), regarding His saying: "It may be that your Lord will raise you to a praised station." He said: "It is the intercession."
