Hadith 27:109

Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, who said: They came to Sahl ibn Sa‘d and said, "From what thing was the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)?" He said, "There remains no one among the people who knows more about it than I. It was from the tamarisk of Al-Ghabah, and so-and-so, the freed slave of so-and-so, made it for the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)." "The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to lean against a trunk in the mosque, praying toward it when he delivered the sermon. When the pulpit was taken and he sat upon it, the trunk moaned." He said, "So the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) came to it and pressed it down." And it is not in the hadith of Abu Hazim: "until it became quiet."
