Hadith 27:117

'Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Sulayman ibn 'Amr ibn al-Ahwas, from his mother, Umm Jundub, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) stone the Jamrat al-'Aqaba from the bottom of the valley on the Day of Sacrifice while he was upon a mount. Then he departed, and a woman from Khath'am followed him, and with her was a young son of hers who had an affliction. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is my son and the remainder of my family, and he has an affliction; he does not speak." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, "Bring me some water." It was brought to him, and he washed his hands and rinsed his mouth, then he gave it to her and said, "Give him to drink from it, pour some of it over him, and seek healing from Allah for him." She said: I met the woman and said, "If only you would gift me some of it." She replied, "It is only for this afflicted one." I met the woman a year later and asked her about the boy. She said, "He recovered and attained an intellect unlike the intellects of people."
