Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 27:125

Muhammad ibn Abi Ubaydah ibn Ma'n narrated to us, from his father, from al-A'mash, from Abu Sufyan, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out to us one day while he was angry, and we thought that Gabriel was with him. He said: "I have not seen a day in which there were more people weeping and covering their heads than this day." He said: "Ask me, for by Allah, you will not ask me about anything except that I will inform you of it." A man stood up to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, am I in Paradise or in the Fire?" He said: "No, rather in the Fire." Another man stood up to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, who is my father?" He said: "Your father is Hudhafah." Another man stood up to him and said: "Is Hajj upon us every year?" He said: "If I had said 'yes', it would have become obligatory, and if it had become obligatory, you would not have been able to perform it, and if you did not perform it, you would have perished." Umar ibn al-Khattab stood up and said: "We are pleased with Allah as a Lord, with Islam as a religion, and with Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as a Messenger. O Messenger of Allah, we are recently removed from the Age of Ignorance, so do not expose our faults, do not disgrace us for our inner secrets, and pardon us, may Allah pardon you." He said: Then his anger subsided. He turned toward the wall and said: "I have not seen the like of today in terms of good and evil; I saw Paradise and the Fire behind this wall."
