Hadith 27:171
Hawdha narrated to us, he said: 'Awf narrated from Yazid al-Farisi, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a dream during the time of Ibn Abbas over Basra. He said: So I said to Ibn Abbas, "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a dream." He said, "Are you able to describe this man whom you saw?" I said, "Yes, I describe to you a man between the two men, his body and his flesh were brown with whiteness, pleasant of smile, kohl-eyed, beautiful of facial features. His beard had filled from here to here"—and he gestured with his hand to his temples—"until it almost filled his chest." 'Awf said: And I do not know what else was with this in the description. Ibn Abbas said: "If you had seen him while awake, you would not have been able to describe him more than this."
