Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 27:189

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding [the verse]: "And when Abraham was tested by his Lord with words, and he fulfilled them." He said: He was tested with the signs that follow them.
