'Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, from Rabi'ah ibn 'Uthman al-Taymi, from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, from his father, that he said: The first to deliver a sermon (khutbah) upon the pulpits (minbars) was Ibrahim, the Friend of Allah (Khalil Allah), peace be upon him.
