Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 27:211

Abu Usama narrated to us, he said: Awf narrated to us, from al-Hasan, Khilas ibn Amr, and Muhammad, from Abu Hurayrah, regarding His saying: "O you who have believed, be not like those who annoyed Moses; then Allah cleared him of what they said, and he was, in the sight of Allah, distinguished." He said: Their annoyance of him was that a group of the Children of Israel said: "This Moses does not cover himself from us with this covering except because of a defect in his skin, either leprosy, or an ailment, or a scrotal hernia." And Allah wanted to clear him of what they said. He said: And Moses, peace be upon him, was alone one day, so he placed his garment on a stone, then entered to bathe. When he finished, he came toward his garment to take it, but the stone ran off with his garment. So Moses, peace be upon him, took his staff and followed it, and began saying: "My garment, O stone! My garment, O stone!" until he reached a gathering of the Children of Israel. They saw him naked, and he was the most beautiful of men in creation, so Allah cleared him of what they were saying. He said: The stone stood still, so he took his garment and put it on, and Moses began striking the stone with his staff. By Allah, there is still on the stone now from the traces of Moses' striking, three, or four, or five [marks].
