Waki’ narrated to us, from Isma’il, from ‘Abd al-Malik, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, who said: I heard him saying: "And he called out within the darknesses." He said: The darkness of the night, and the darkness of the sea, and the darkness of the whale.
