Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-Sari ibn Yahya, from Bistam ibn Muslim, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) sent 'Amr ibn al-'As on a military expedition in which were Abu Bakr and 'Umar. When they arrived, Abu Bakr and 'Umar complained about 'Amr. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "No one shall ever be appointed as a commander over you two after me."
