Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 27:360

Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from ‘Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn Aslam, from his father, from Ibn ‘Umar, who said: ‘Umar remained serious and generous from the time he was seized [by death] until he reached [his end].
