Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Layth, from Ziyad ibn Abi al-Malih, from his father, who said: Ibn Abbas said: "If the people had collectively agreed upon the killing of Uthman, they would have been pelted with stones, just as the people of Lot were pelted."
