Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 27:422

Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us, he said: Mis'ar narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Awn narrated to me, from Muhammad ibn Hatib, he said: Uthman was mentioned, so al-Hasan ibn Ali said: "This is the Commander of the Faithful coming to you now, so he will inform you." He said: Then Ali came and said: "Uthman was among those who 'believed and did righteous deeds, then feared Allah and believed, then feared Allah and did good; and Allah loves the doers of good,'" until he completed the verse.
