Sharik narrated to us, from Ayyash al-Amiri, from Abdullah ibn Shaddad, who said: The delegation of Abu Sarh from Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to them: "You shall establish the prayer, and you shall give the zakat, and you shall listen and obey, or I will surely send to you a man from myself who will fight your fighters and take your offspring captive." [He said:] "O Allah, I [am] or [he is] like myself." Then he took the hand of Ali.
