Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, from Simak, from Anas, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent *Bara'ah* (Surah At-Tawbah) with Abu Bakr to Makkah. Then he called him and sent Ali, and said: "None shall convey it except a man from my household."
