'Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid, from Abu Ishaq, who said: Abu Maysarah informed us that when the news of the killing of Ja'far, Zayd, and 'Abd Allah ibn Rawahah reached the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, he mentioned their affair and said: "O Allah, forgive Zayd," three times. "O Allah, forgive Ja'far and 'Abd Allah ibn Rawahah."
