Hadith 27:573

Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Yazid, from Abdullah ibn al-Harith, who said: Abd al-Muttalib ibn Rabi'ah ibn al-Harith ibn Abd al-Muttalib narrated to me that al-Abbas entered upon the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Who has angered you?" He said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the matter with us and the Quraysh? When they meet one another, they meet with smiling faces, but when they meet us, they meet us with other than that." He said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, became angry until his face turned red and a vein between his eyes swelled. Whenever he became angry, it would swell. When it subsided from him, he said: "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, faith does not enter the heart of a man until he loves you for the sake of Allah and His Messenger." Then he said: "O people, whoever harms al-Abbas has harmed me, for the uncle of a man is the counterpart of his father."
