Hadith 27:614
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Al-Awwam ibn Hawshab informed us, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Alqamah, from Khalid ibn al-Walid, who said: There was a dispute between me and Ammar, so Ammar went to complain about me to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). I came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) while he was complaining about me, and Ammar did not increase in anything but harshness, while the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) remained silent. Ammar wept and said: "O Messenger of Allah, do you not hear him?" He said: So the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) raised his head and said: "Whoever shows enmity to Ammar, Allah shows enmity to him, and whoever hates Ammar, Allah hates him." He said: So I went out, and there was nothing more hateful to me than the anger of Ammar. I met him, and he became pleased.
