Hadith 27:625

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Abu Ma'shar informed us, from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id al-Maqburi, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: I descended with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from the mountain pass of Hawsha', and his sandal strap broke. I handed him my sandal, but he refused to accept it and sat in the shade of a tree to repair his sandal. Then he said to me: "Look at whom you see." I said: "This is so-and-so, son of so-and-so." He said: "An evil servant of Allah is so-and-so." Then he said: "Look at whom you see." I said: "This is so-and-so." He said: "Yes, an excellent servant of Allah is so-and-so." And the one to whom he said "Yes, an excellent servant of Allah is so-and-so" was Khalid ibn al-Walid.
