Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yunus, who said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakrah mentioned, saying: The Ashajj of Banu 'Asr said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me, "Indeed, there are two qualities in you that Allah loves." I said, "What are they?" He said, "Forbearance and modesty." I said, "Were they in me from before, or recently?" He said, "Rather, from before." I said, "Praise be to Allah who has fashioned me with two qualities that He loves."
