Hadith 27:873

Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from ‘Amr, from ‘Ikrimah, who said: ‘Ali came with his sword and said, “Take it, O Hamida.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “If you have fought well today, then Sahl ibn Hunayf, ‘Asim ibn Thabit, al-Harith ibn Simma, and Abu Dujana have also fought well.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) then said, “Who will take this sword by its right?” Abu Dujana said, “I will.” He took the sword and struck with it until he brought it back having bent it. He said, “O Messenger of Allah, have I given it its right?” He said, “Yes.”
