Hadith 27:88
Marwan narrated to us, from Awf, from Abu Raja, who said: Imran ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, saying: We were with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) on a journey, and the people complained to him of thirst. So he called such-and-such a person and called Ali, saying: "Go and seek water for me." They departed and encountered a woman who had two water skins (mazadatayn) or two leather bags (sathiyatayn). He said: They brought her to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) called for a vessel and poured into it from the mouths of the two water skins or the two leather bags. Then he tied their mouths and opened the nozzles. It was announced to the people: "Drink and draw water." He said: So those who drank, drank, and those who drew water, drew water. He said: And she was standing, looking at what was being done with her water. He said: By Allah, he ceased from it when he ceased, and it seemed to us that it was fuller than it was when he began with it. Then the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "By Allah, we did not diminish anything from your water, but Allah gave us to drink."
