Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 27:881

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu al-Miqdam, from Habba, who said: A man came to Ali ibn Abi Talib and said: "I have bought a camel and prepared for a journey, and I intend to go to the Holy House (al-Maqdis)." He said: "Sell your camel and pray in this mosque." Abu Bakr said: He means the Mosque of Kufa. "There is no mosque after the Sacred Mosque (al-Masjid al-Haram) that is more beloved to me than it. It has decreased by five hundred cubits from what it was originally."
