Hadith 27:9
Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr narrated to us, from Zuhayr ibn Muhammad, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Muhammad ibn Ali ibn al-Hanafiyyah, that he heard Ali ibn Abi Talib saying: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "I have been given what no one among the prophets was given." We said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is it?" He said: "I have been granted victory through awe, I have been given the keys of the earth, I have been named Ahmad, the soil has been made a purifier for me, and my nation has been made the best of [nations]."
حدثنا يحيى بن أبي بكير عن زهير بن محمد عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل عن محمد بن علي بن الحنفية أنه سمع علي بن أبي طالب يقول قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أعطيت ما لم يعط أحد من الأنبياء قلنا يا رسول الله ما هو قال نصرت بالرعب وأعطيت مفاتيح الأرض وسميت أحمد وجعل لي التراب طهورا وجعلت أمتي خير [ الأمم ]
