Hadith 25:15
Waki’ narrated to us, from al-Mas’udi, from Abu ‘Awn, from al-Qasim ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman, that a man sought permission from his heirs during his illness to bequeath more than a third, and they permitted him. When he died, they retracted [their permission]. Ibn Mas’ud was asked about that, and he said to them: "That is dislike; it is not permissible."
حدثنا وكيع عن المسعودي عن أبي عون عن القاسم بن عبد الرحمن أن رجلا استأذن ورثته في مرضه في أن يوصي بأكثر من الثلث فأذنوا له فلما مات رجعوا فسئل بن مسعود عن ذلك فقال لهم ذلك التكره لا يجوز
