Hadith 25:150
Abu Dawud narrated to us from al-Mu'tamir ibn al-Rayyan, who said: I was present with Ja'far ibn Zayd in the congregational mosque. Zurarah ibn Awfa, who was the judge at that time, said to him: "A boy was brought to me who had emancipated a slave, but the guardians denied that. I wanted to reject that, and then have the boy pay the blood money until the boy reaches maturity and loves wealth; then, if he wishes to proceed, he may proceed, and if he wishes to reject, he may reject."
حدثنا أبو داود عن المعتمر بن الريان قال حضرت جعفر بن زيد في المسجد الجامع وقال له زرارة بن أوفى وهو يؤمئذ على القضاء إنه دفع إلي غلام أعتق عبدا فأنكر ذلك الأولياء فأردت أن أرد ذلك ثم يودي الغلام حتى يشب الغلام ويحب المال فإن شاء أن يمضي أمضى وإن شاء أن يرد رد
