Hadith 25:163
Jarir narrated to us, from Mughira, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, regarding a man who bequeaths the manumission of his slave during his illness and bequeaths other bequests along with it. He said: "The manumission of the slave is begun before the [other] bequests. If he bequeaths that a soul be purchased for him and then manumitted, the soul is like the rest of the bequests."
حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن حماد عن إبراهيم في الرجل يوصي بعتاق عبده في مرضه ويوصي معه بوصايا قال يبدأ بعتاق العبد قبل الوصايا فإن أوصى أن يشتري له نسمة فتعتق كانت النسمة كسائر الوصية
