Hadith 25:174
Narrated to us Abd al-Salam, from Hajjaj, from al-Sha'bi, regarding a man who died and left two thousand dirhams, a slave valued at one thousand dirhams, and bequeathed five hundred dirhams to a man and [ordered the] emancipation of the slave. He said: The slave is emancipated, and the bequest is voided.
حدثنا عبد السلام عن حجاج عن الشعبي في رجل مات وترك ألفي درهم وعبدا رقمته ألف درهم وأوصى لرجل بخمسمائة وعتق العبد قال يعتق العبد وتبطل الوصية
