Hadith 25:199
Waki’ narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, from Ibn Abbas, who said: I wish that people would reduce [their bequests] from a third to a fourth, because the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "A third is a lot."
حدثنا وكيع عن هشام عن أبيه عن بن عباس قال وددت أن الناس غضوا من الثلث إلى الربع لأن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال الثلث كثير
