Hadith 25:209
Ya'la and Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Isma'il, from al-Sha'bi, who said: They used to bequeath the fifth, the fourth, or the third, which is the limit of the excessive. Ibn Numayr said: The limit of the excessive.
حدثنا يعلى وبن نمير عن إسماعيل عن الشعبي قال إنما كانوا يوصون بالخمس والربع والثلث منتهى الجامح وقال بن نمير منتهى الجماح
