Hadith 25:265
Jarir narrated to us, from Mughira, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, who said: If an *umm al-walad* (a slave woman who has borne a child to her master) acquired something during the lifetime of her master, and then her master died, it belongs to her and she has been emancipated. If the deceased had taken something away before he died, or bequeathed something, then regarding what she had acquired during his lifetime, she may do with it as she wishes.
حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن حماد عن إبراهيم قال إذا أحرزت أم الولد شيئا في حياته سيدها فمات سيدها فهو لها وقد عتقت فإن انتزع الميت شيئا قبل أن يموت أوصى بشيء فما كانت أحرزت في حياته تصنع فيه ما شاءت
