Hadith 25:269
'Abbad ibn al-'Awwam narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Malik, from 'Ata', that Sa'd ibn 'Ubada divided his wealth among his heirs according to the Book of Allah, and he had a wife who had given birth to a boy. Abu Bakr and 'Umar sent word to Qays ibn Sa'd, "Bring out the share of this boy." He said, "As for something that Sa'd did, I will not undo it, but my share is for him." So he accepted that from him.
حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن عبد الملك عن عطاء أن سعد بن [ عبادة ] قسم ماله بين ورثته على كتاب الله وامرأة له قد وضعت رجلا فأرسل أبو بكر وعمر إلى قيس بن سعد أن أخرج لهذا الغلام حقه قال أما شيء صنعه سعد فلا أرجع فيه ولكن نصيبي له فقبل ذلك منه
