Hadith 25:306
Mu'tamir narrated to us, from 'Asim, who said: Abu al-'Aliyah fell ill, so he emancipated a slave of his. They mentioned to him that he [the slave] was beyond the river [Transoxiana]. He said: "If he is alive, then I have not emancipated him, and if he is dead, then he is emancipated." And he mentioned this verse: "And he has weak offspring."
حدثنا معتمر عن عاصم قال مرض أبو العالية فأعتق مملوكا له ذكروا له أنه من وراء النهر فقال إن كان حيا فلا اعتقه وإن كان ميتا فهو عتيق وذكر هذه الآية @QB@ وله ذرية ضعفاء @QE@
