Hadith 25:37
Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Ya’qub, from ‘Ata’ and Qatadah, and from Matar, regarding al-Hasan, concerning a man who bequeathed [a portion of his wealth] to his paternal cousins, both men and women. They said: "For the male is the like of the portion of the female, unless he had said: 'For the male is the like of the portion of two females.'"
حدثنا بن مبارك عن يعقوب عن عطاء وقتادة وعن مطر عن الحسن في رجل أوصى لبني عمه رجال ونساء قالوا للذكر مثل حظ الأنثى إلا أن يكون قال للذكر مثل حظ الأنثيين
