Hadith 5:119
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from Masruq, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) sent Mu'adh to Yemen, he commanded him to take from every thirty cows a *tabi'* (a one-year-old calf) or a *tabi'ah* (a one-year-old female calf), and from every forty [cows] a *musinnah* (a two-year-old cow). And [he commanded him to take] from every adult (person who has reached puberty) one dinar, or its equivalent in *Ma'afiri* (garments from the Ma'afir region).
حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن مسروق قال لما بعث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم معاذا إلى اليمن أمره أن يأخذ من كل ثلاثين من البقر تبيعا أو تبيعة ومن كل أربعين مسنة ومن كل حالم دينارا أو عدله من ( ( ( معافر ) ) ) معافري
