Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 5:141

Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Layth, from Tawus, from Mu'adh, who said: "There is nothing (i.e., no Zakat) on the *awqas* (the fractional amounts between the minimum thresholds of livestock)."
