Hadith 5:167
'Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Salim, from 'Amir, from 'Ali, regarding the Zakat of sheep: He said, "When they reach forty, there is one sheep in them up to one hundred and twenty. If they increase by one, there are two sheep in them up to two hundred. If they increase by one, there are three sheep in them up to three hundred. If they increase beyond three hundred and become many, then for every hundred sheep, there is one sheep." 'Abd Allah said the same as the statement of 'Ali until it reaches three hundred. Then 'Abd Allah said, "If they increase by one over three hundred, there are four [sheep] in them up to four hundred, then [it continues] upon this calculation." Muhammad said: 'Amir informed us from 'Ali and 'Abd Allah, they both said: "Do not combine that which is separate, and do not separate that which is combined."
حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن سليمان عن محمد بن سالم عن عامر عن علي في صدقة الغنم قال إذا بلغت أربعين ففيها شاة إلى عشرين ومائة فإذا زادت واحدة ففيها شاتان إلى مائتين ( ( ( مئتين ) ) ) فإذا زادت واحدة ففيها ثلاث شياه إلى ثلاثمائة فإذا زادت على ثلاثمائة وكثرت ففي كل مائة شاة شاة وقال عبد الله مثل قول علي حتى تبلغ ثلاثمائة ثم قال عبد الله فإذا زادت واحدة على ثلاثمائة ففيها أربع إلى أربعمائة ثم على هذا الحساب قال محمد أخبرنا عامر عن علي وعبد الله قالا لا يجمع بين مفترق ولا يفرق بين مجتمع
