Hadith 5:190
'Abbad ibn al-'Awwam narrated to us, from Sufyan ibn Husayn, from al-Zuhri, who said: When the collector of Zakat (al-musaddiq) comes, the sheep are divided into three parts: a third of the best, a third of the worst, and a third of the average. And the collector of Zakat takes from the average.
حدثنا عباد بن عوام عن سفيان بن حسين عن الزهري قال إذا جاء المصدق قسمت الغنم أثلاثا ثلث خيار وثلث شرار وثلث أوساط ويأخذ المصدق من الوسط
