Hadith 5:191
Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-A’mash, from al-Hakam, who said: The tax collector (musaddiq) used to divide the sheep into two groups. Then the owner of the sheep would choose the better of the two groups.
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن الأعمش عن الحكم قال كان المصدق يصدع الغنم صدعين فيختار صاحب الغنم خير الصدعين
