Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Hammad ibn al-Mukhtar, from ‘Amr ibn Shu’ayb, from Humayd ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman, who said: It used to be said: "Turn away the beggar, even if with the head of a sandgrouse."
