Hadith 5:275
Ja'far ibn 'Awn narrated to us, from Usama, who said: I asked al-Qasim about pearls: Is there Zakat in them or not? He said: Whatever of it is worn like jewelry, not for trade, then there is no Zakat in it. And whatever of that is for trade, then there is Zakat in it.
حدثنا جعفر بن عون عن أسامة قال سألت القاسم عن اللؤلؤ هل فيه زكاة أم لا فقال ما كان منه يلبس كالحلي ليس لتجارة فلا زكاة فيه وما كان من ذلك للتجارة ففيه الزكاة
